Shaykh Muhammad Umar is an esteemed scholar, educator, and Imam with over 12 years of experience in Islamic studies. His journey began at ten when he memorized the Quran in Pakistan from IQRA Rawdatul Athfal, laying the foundation for his lifelong dedication to teaching and leading Taraweeh prayers. He attended Walnut High School in California. Then, Shaykh Umar went to Pakistan to further his studies at Dar ul Uloom Karachi. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Islamic Sciences. He received multiple certifications in Fiqh, Aqeedah, Tafsir, and an Ijazah in Hadith with teachers, including Shaykh Muhammad Rafi Usmani and Shaykh Muhammad Taqi Usmani. He returned to California and served as a religious instructor at the Institute of Knowledge (IOK) for over ten years. Shaykh Muhammad Umar is the founder of Umar Academy, which started in 2019.
